Author: So I am searching through the blogs today and everyone seems to be bitching about how Christina Aguilera is stealing Lady GaGa’s style in here new music video “Not Myself Tonight”. Apparently these idiots have never seen a Christina video before. Christina has been making teenage boys (and girls) have wet dreams over her music videos for over a decade now. It is a popular trend in the music industry to steal other artists styl,e but I hate to break it to you uneducated non music video watching idiots that GaGa actually stole her style from Christina.
How could this be true you ask? Well apparently some of these people missed the video for “Dirty” and if that wasn’t GaGa enough for them then maybe they never saw the video to “Lady Marmalade”!! Either way I find it funny that this is even being brought up. If you ask my honest opinion it all came from Marlyn Monroe and remixed to todays standards…. but that is just my honest opinion. There has to be far better things to talk about today. The first video is a prime example of previous videos Christina has done with similar if not the same style. The second is the actual video. I think its time for the media and bloggers alike to observe a blast from the past start paying attention to things like facts and…..like why this idiot (yes I am referring to myself) figured this out and you didn’t!! You be the judge.

I fully agree! If you look at the past decades (for most of you via the internet) you will see a trend which began with the One The Only Marilyn Monroe aka Billie Jean Baker, Of course her contemporary Jayne Mansfield is also note worthy.
It continues on until you reach the other Marilyn, Madonna. She too took her looks and some of her style from Marilyn and Jayne. Now we have Christina and Lady GaGa to carry on the ever tiresome style. Folks get a grip!
Hollywood and the music industry have not had an original thought since the dawn of time. Either it is an old Old Testament story retold in a different setting with more up to date characters or a Shakespearean tragedy which was originally told in Greek theater. Hell, even last years blockbuster special effects offering Avatar dosen’t have an original story line. Remember the animated Disney movie Fern Gully? I mean come on! They are even in the process of making a movie version of The A Team! Hollywood is suffering from mad cow disease!
So all this talk about who stole who’s style is completely senseless. But then again with all the other worries in the world like Global Warming,Out of control National Debt, Terrorism, and what to do about rabid marsupials why wouldn’t you find something so silly to argue about.
Well that is all I have from my corner at the top of the world.

I am glad to have someone who sees my point of view on this. It is time for us a society to realize that “style” revolves and there are very few original ideas.
